The final conference of the ONBOARD project Qualification and training in ports and logistics sector it took place on 19th of September 2019 at the Centro de Formação da APDL, Matosinhos (Portugal).

The Centro de formação da APDL, Matosinhos (Portugal), one of the associated partners of the Onboard project, hosted the final conference of the project, an event focused on the discussion about the past, present and future of the projects’ results and outcomes.
The event counted with 24 participants representing policy makers, apprenticeships providers, companies and ICT supporters of the ports and logistics sector that had the opportunity of discussing two main topics:
- Needs and trends of the ports and logistics sector
- VET-Business cooperation in apprenticeships
The conference started with an overview of the Onboard project, made by Andreia Monteiro representing INOVA+, the coordinator. The presentation is available here.
Needs and trends of the ports and logistics sector
In this session, partners had the opportunity of briefly introducing the apprenticeship system in each one of the countries, identifying the needs and trends in terms of qualifications, professional profiles and available offer in the capacity building of workers of the ports and logistics sector.
VET-Business cooperation in the apprenticeships
In this session the audience had the opportunity to better know the challenges that the maritime sector and Blue Economy are facing in the next years.
